My pleasure. Will enjoy listening and watching. Have been thinking of retiring in Bosnia, perhaps Banja Luka, but now looking at visa restrictions, this might not be so easy.
Getting temporary residency (other than the tourist 90 days in any 180 days) here, is normally based on Marriage (or civil relationship), Property Ownership or Employment. Mine is through marriage, but property ownership is not an issue. I know of a US citizen going through that process at the moment.
Thanks so much about the complimentary subscription and yes, of course I would like to subscribe. I subscribed to your youtube channel, and I am grateful for your reply and hoping to have some enriching conversations with you. I am seriously considering a move to your area, and then maybe I'll see you in person! I appreciate your thoughts about such a podcast and grateful for your take on those topics. Having lived in many countries, I know there are difficult things to discuss in every culture--and I realize that one can't just blunder in to ask such questions. However, people like yourself who have built up trust and love in the community, can have such conversations.
Hi! I've lived all over the world and have been back in the States for the past three years helping my daughter with a medical emergency and was thinking of heading out again. Your region interests me and I've watched a number of your sweet videos. This is just to tell you that what I'm most interested in is the people and how they think. Are they still as divided as before? Do you think the atrocities that were seen would easily happen again? What are the people like? What do they think? What are their reflections on their history? I would love, and just can't find, videos interviewing every day people about what they think. And I also would like to know how people live--what their homes look like inside, for example. I'm so tired of seeing video after video (not yours, talking about in general) of the same famous mosques and churches and forts.
I also read your comment on our YouTube channel as well.
You have made me think about going outside my comfort zone a bit.
I'll put my mind into making a podcast that will answer some of the questions you have asked. The hard ones. People aren't too keen to talk about the past. Younger people even more so. The history aspects are the most emotional here. Their history has direct relationships to what happened 30 years ago and before. Despite what we (in the west) were told, this region was never the great multi-culti success story. Tolerance at the best. I set up the blog and the podcasts to try and tell the stories that most non Balkan people get to know about. It's a work in progress. If you wanted to subscribe, I would willing give you a lifetime complimentary subscription. Off now to think things through. Hoping all is well in your world? Bests, David

How much is a middle class (Bosnia Standards) one or two bedroom apartment?
