The Stone Bridge - Skopje

Hello and welcome to this edition of our Blog, this week from Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.

This is the first time I have been back to Skopje since the pandemic. Up until then I had been delivering presentations on Digital Engagement 3-4 times a year, at PARC (Public Affairs Regional Centre).

During the pandemic however, these courses and presentations were conducted remotely, so all was done from my office/studio, at home in Čaračani.

So it was simply wonderful to be back “IRL” (In Real Life) again.

Waiting to “Perform”

Although there isn’t much in the way of “Free Time” on my trips, I do try to look around the local area where ever I am.

Coincidentally, I had posted a video on my journey from Zagreb, asking if anyone would like a video from Skopje. The result was “Yes”, so off I went into the centre of Skopje with camera in hand to record some content.

My time (decades ago) in the British Militay introduced me to the phrase that has stayed with me ever since,

“Prior Planning and Preparation, Prevents Poor Performance”

Well, I forgot that, as I soon realised my batteries were almost empty!

Back to my accommodation to recharge then back out to at least record SOMETHING!

So, here is that “Second Cut” Video ⬇️

Arriving Back in the Village

After travelling back from Skopje, I took time to archive the video clips I had recorded, and to my surprise, I had actually taken enough content to create another video as well.

It does give a glimpse of what Skopje is like, if you have never been to this cool city.

The only downside, was that the weather was miserable, AND SO COLD!
