My Easters in 2021 - (Yes I get Two of Them)

Coloured eggs are a must. Our neighbours next to us have given us this tray of wonderful free range eggs from their hens.

EASTER No.1

We are getting ready for Easter.

Today we coloured our eggs for "British" Easter on Sunday. David's a Brit. Right?

We tried an experiment (images 2-4 inc), where we hoped to get a marble effect on the eggs.

Massive Fail, so resorted to using food colouring. Boring we know but ... it was fun in a way, trying new things.

Trying new things is good. It stops you becoming BORING.

But coloured eggs are a must. Our neighbours next to us have given us this tray of wonderful free range eggs from their hens.

Next Easter task is Hot Cross buns, that should be eaten just on Good Friday, but we enjoy them for as long as we have them.

These buns are, as far as we know, only traditional in the UK (and places that were former colonies).

As you most probably know, we get to celebrate (enjoy) 2 Christmases and Easters each year.

As far as David's is concerned we try and have as much 🇬🇧 influence as we can.

Hot Cross Buns will be a must. We'll show you those soon.

Hot Cross Buns are a Good Friday tradition in the UK but we eat them across this first Easter period.

At the end of an Easter Sunday, a sneak peek" from our lunch.

There was also cheesecake for dessert.

Hope your day was peaceful and safe.

Lotsa ❤️ Puno Pozdrav 😀

Easter No.2

Normally there are only a few weeks between British Easter and Serbian Orthodox Easter.

This year that gap has been a bit longer.

Orthodox Easter Sunday fell on May 2nd.

The day previously together with our neighbour, roasted the pig that we would share for both families Easter Lunch.

Although we had (read the ladies in the family), prepared things over the previous days, we started with a leisurely day of eating, drinking and socialising.

This year, again, we were alone due to COVID restrictions. So no guests, announce or otherwise!
