Visiting Krupa na Vrbasu
One of the locations we like to show people is Krupa na Vrbasu (Krupa on the Vrbas), a small town of some 1,200 people, situated about 25km south of Banja Luka in the Bosanska Krajina of the country
When guests visit us, we endeavour to expose them to as much of Bosnia and Herzegovina that we can, in the time that our guests have.
Whether that be culture, food or the magnificent countryside.
One of the locations we like to show people is Krupa na Vrbasu (Krupa on the Vrbas), a small town of some 1,200 people, situated about 25km south of Banja Luka in the Bosanska Krajina of the country.
Krupa sits in a valley between canyons of the Vrbas-river, on the main route between Banja Luka and Jajce.
It's not too far, so a place to visit for even the shortest of stop-overs.
The town is known for the "Krupa falls", the waterfalls in the town. The crystal clear waters racing down between the traditional watermills are stunning to say the least.
Romantic, even in the snow!
By the waterfalls you can even buy freshly ground wheat, or eat freshly made uštipci with domestic kajmak.
This particular trip we did together with Louise, an author who came from the UK for a writers retreat.
