THIS WEEK'S VLOG.
Tamara and I are in Neum at present. Well, we should have arrived back in Banja Luka by the time you read this.
We decided to take an inclusive trip, consisting of bus and half board in a 3* hotel. There are so many of these travel options at the moment both within the country and the wider region. And, they're extremely affordable.
There'll be a blog post about this way of exploring in the near future.
Back to this week's newsletter.
The usual format that you're used to reading is hugely simplified this week, as this is all being produced on my mobile while sat on a floating platform anchored in the Adriatic Sea.
It's the most amazing experience.
The breeze, the views, all a bit of a dream, until I pinch myself. Then it's reality!
My Digital Nomad moment maybe?
We have had a blast, and that's an understatement.
The perception of this place (Neum), within a lot of people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, is not a positive one.
As I never had visited, I reserved my judgement and deferred to the "locals".
Well, now I have, there will be a robust defence of Neum as a place to visit.
Knowledge is strength. Right?
Back to my working space.
When holidaying, it's so easy to feel that you belong and that you really need to move to wherever you are, in the moment, but the reality is that you have to, must, go home. Back to the Drudge.
The thing for me is that this gem of a location is within the borders of the country I chose to live in. I am blessed. I don't take that feeling for granted or lightly.
Now Some Balance.
To get from our accommodation to the shoreline and most amenities and activities, it's a steep 200 step climb.
OK. The descent is a breeze, but the return activity? well you're certainly reminded of your age!
Now a Herzegovinian Foodie Pic for you.
FOODIE PIC OF THE WEEK.
And Finally.
That's our update, this time, from Neum in Herzegovina for this week.
We hope you'll continue to follow our adventures, and to engage with questions and comments.
We are always so excited when we receive them.
PLEASE, do stay safe wherever you are.
