A British Voice, Rooted in Bosnia

My name is David, and I’m a British voice living in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After many years here, I’m still learning, still noticing, and still being surprised by this country. My podcast, An Englishman in the Balkans, is my way of sharing those stories, from village roads and mountain paths to coffee tables, conversations, food, friendship and ordinary daily life.

It’s in English, but its heart is very much here.

This podcast is for English-speaking Bosnians, people from Bosnia and Herzegovina living abroad, and anyone curious to hear everyday life here reflected through a different accent.

The episodes are in English, but the stories are rooted in Bosnia and Herzegovina — village life, food, travel, family tables, mountain paths, local friendships, culture, humour, frustrations and the small moments that rarely appear in headlines.

This is not a podcast explaining Bosnia to Bosnians. It is simply one British voice, living here for many years, sharing what I notice, what I learn, and what continues to surprise me.
